COOK it, EAT it and Stay Healthy
Joy in Health and The National Lottery have joined forces in a campaign aimed at motivating the younger generation to prioritize healthy eating through home-cooked meals, as opposed to consuming unhealthy junk food.
In today’s world, there is a growing obesity epidemic that poses a significant risk of chronic diseases such as heart disease and diabetes. The ubiquity of junk food in our daily lives is contributing to this problem, driven by our fast-paced lifestyles. Balancing school, sports, socializing with friends and family, our lives are often jam-packed, making convenience a top priority. Junk food companies have successfully made their products convenient, delectable, and affordable, displacing the tradition of preparing and enjoying healthy homemade meals.
Fortunately, preparing a wholesome meal doesn’t require a significant amount of time. Thus, we’ve initiated a campaign, with a special emphasis on inspiring young people, to allocate time for preparing their meals. There are numerous dishes that can be easily and quickly prepared. In our latest campaign week, we introduced the process of making “Spaghetti alla Bolognese,” a delightful Italian cuisine-inspired recipe. Participants had the opportunity to try their hand at cooking and were delighted to learn how to prepare this delicious dish.
