Climate Change awareness program to the African community in Leicester as they celebrate Black History month.
Joy in Health with the support of The National Lottery brought the Climate Change awareness program to the African community in Leicester as they celebrate Black History month.
It was a perfect opportunity to campaign for the need to help keep our climate clean more especially the things needed to work on now we are moving into the cold season.
It is good to keep our house warm, at same time we should remember about the climate and limit the heating to minimum when necessary.
Also families were encouraged to sort for an Air Source Heat Pump which is the most efficient way to heat your home and help the environment by lowering your carbon footprint and moving away from fossil fuels like oil and gas.
The speaker emphasized on when it is time to buy new cars to move into electric cars.
Electric cars emit far less greenhouse gases than traditional gasoline cars, and their emissions can be further reduced if they are powered by renewable energy. In fact, electric cars powered by renewable energy are emissions-free. Electric cars also have the potential to reduce our dependence on oil, which is a major contributor to climate change. Oil is a finite resource that releases harmful emissions when burned, so reducing our reliance on it is crucial to combating climate change. Electric cars are not a perfect solution to climate change, but they are a step in the right direction. If we continue to switch to cleaner, renewable energy sources and encourage others to do the same, we can make a real difference in the fight against climate change.
Present were different African countries with their cuisine to make the day memorable.
