Joy in Health with Sport England celebrate the Black History Month with Football Competition here in Leicester.
We know Africans have excelled and still excelling in Sports, so this year was celebrated with a football Tournament among the African nations.
Joy in Health with Sport England promote healthy living through exercises, for this year celebration of the Black History, our program was extended in bringing all black communities together to exercise and celebrate the day. Many people from different African countries of black origin Ghana, Nigeria, Guinea, Cameron, Congo, Zimbabwe, Kenya etc participated in this event held on 15/10/2022 at Leicester UK.
To understand what is Black History Month,
Black History Month is an annual observance originating in the United States, where it is also known as African-American History Month. It has received official recognition from governments in the United States and Canada, and more recently has been observed in Ireland, and the United Kingdom. It began as a way of remembering important people and events in the history of the African diaspora. It is celebrated in February in the United States and Canada, while in Ireland, and the United Kingdom it is observed in October.
